Curing Crowdfunding and Strengthening Social Commerce
Crowdfunding platforms can be tricky to navigate and even harder to reach your campaign’s goal. The above chart should make us all question the effectiveness of some crowdfunding platforms.
Charts such as the one below help but only to a certain degree. Many people actually create multiple campaigns — for the same goal — on many different platforms. I’m not sure this leads to an increase conversion rate of donation requests. What do you think? What has your experience been?
Several charts, such as the one below, suggest Indiegogo has an impressive and qualitative lead over kickstarter but does the “paradox of choice” suggest exactly the opposite?

If you could donate to a person instead of cause, and cut out the fees going to crowdfunding platform, would you?
If you could donate to the recipients of a Cause or charity you care about — and cut out the 17 levels of “aid organizations” management and thier fees which come directly from your donation, would you?
